Karate Licence

The Karate License is the annual membership to the organisation. All students are required to have a valid license to take examinations.  Students cannot take the belt exams without a license.

Please be advised that if your child stops Karate, it is your responsibility to cancel the standing order with your bank. We have no control over the standing order and cannot cancel it on your behalf. If you forget the cancel the standing order we will refund your payment less an administration fee for the current year only as per the terms and conditions listed on the welcome pack and refund policy.

Terms and Conditions

All payments for sessions, courses, gradings and online sessions are non refundable and non transferrable. Children cannot move from a particular training session during the week to another weekly training session. During covid lockdown sessions will move from face to face to online sessions. Refunds will not be available. There are no discounts or refunds if a child misses a session due to other commitments, illness, transport issues, lateness, injuries or anything else.

Notice To Stop Lessons

Term Length and Payment Schedule
Term fees are collected via direct debit over four monthly instalments, with each monthly payment covering the cost of three scheduled lessons.

Notice Requirement
A minimum of one full calendar month’s written notice is required to discontinue lessons. Notice will be deemed effective on the date the written communication is received by the London Karate office.

Payments Upon Giving Notice
Because monthly instalments correspond to lessons delivered across the term, any payment due within the one-month notice period remains payable. This ensures that all lessons scheduled during the notice period are fully covered, regardless of the student’s attendance or the timing of previous payments.

Calculation of Outstanding Fees
Upon receiving notice, the London Karate office will confirm the notice date and determine any remaining fees owed based on the lessons scheduled during the notice period.
