Karate Instructors
Our karate instructors bring decades of combined experience teaching Shukokai karate across South West London. Every instructor at London Karate has progressed through our own grading system, from white belt through to black belt and beyond, so each one understands exactly what our students are working towards at every stage.
Led by founder Robin Horsfall and Chief Instructor Sensei Alex Horsfall, our teaching team ranges from 2nd dan to 6th dan and covers all class levels, from young beginners to adult grading candidates. Below, you can read more about each instructor's background, grade and teaching focus.

What Sets Our Karate Instructors Apart
All of our instructors trained at London Karate themselves before going on to teach here, so our teaching style, grading standards and club values are passed down directly rather than picked up elsewhere. This continuity is part of why families choose London Karate for the long term, with many students staying with us from their first junior class through to black belt and instructor level.
Every instructor is fully qualified and DBS-checked, and each holds current first aid certification appropriate for teaching children and adults. Classes are structured around our core values of good manners, discipline and respect for others, values that are reinforced consistently across every grade and every instructor.
If you'd like to meet the team in person, book a free trial class or get in touch to ask about which class suits your age and experience level.
