Who teaches Shukokai?

The chief instructor of Kyo Rei Shukokai Karate is Robin Horsfall. He has been studying Karate for over 24 years and is a 5th Dan Black Belt. He teaches Shukokai as an art of self defence and as a sport, focussing on power, speed and control combined with safety and discipline. Sensei Robin teaches adults on Wednesday evenings at 63 Upper Richmond Road, Putney and teaches children at the Esporta Clubs in Northwood, Chiswick and Bracknell. 

Sensei Robin is supported by highly qualified instructors:

  • Sensei Alex Horsfall (Tel: 07966-142-743) 3rd Dan. National Heavyweight Black Belt Champion 2003. Sensei Alex teaches at The Park Club Acton,  Esporta Kingston upon Thames, Sinclair House School Fulham and all adults at the Esporta Club Northwood. Ten years experience. National junior champion twice. England team member 2000 and 2001. Third in Samurai National Championship 2001.
  • Sensei Jacqui Barrett (Retired) 2nd Dan.  10 Years Experience. 3rd in the Samurai National Championships 2000.
  • Eva Phillips, 1st Dan (Tel: 01923-827-988). Member of Great Britain team to Japan 2004.
  • Greg Mills, 3rd Dan (Tel: 07985-227-560). Teaches cadets at Richmond, Teddington, Brentford, Putney and Roehampton.
  • Charlotte Horsfall (Tel: 07984-684-295)  Samurai National Fighting Champion 2004. Teaches at Teddington.
  • Sensei Robin Horsfall (Tel: 07788-196-575) 5th Dan. Teaches adult classes at King's Road, Richmond and cadets at Northwood, Bracknell and Weybridge.
